They didn't have our booking and gave us a poor table and then ignored us twice so we walked out. We were in Nottingham to visit our son who is a student at Nottingham Uni. We were not disappointed. The food was good, the staff friendly and attentive and the restaurant clean and welcoming. We would definitely go again. A really enjoyable evening - lovely food, extremely friendly and helpful bar and waiting staff. I would thoroughly recommend this venue.
Hands down the most wonderful meal I have had in Nottingham for a long time - the Sea Bass was delicious and tasty, the pudding's were divine and the cocktails actually had some kick to them - a lot of places scrimp on the alcohol, replacing it with ice and not thinking us customers will notice - not this place! The service was fantastic and the lovely lady who served us is a credit to the restaurant - even laughing at my friends dreadful jokes! She deserves a raise just for that Excellently priced too - absolutely get what you pay for - which is tasty, delicious food!
Cannot think of a single bad thing to say about this place - recommend, recommend, recommend!! Good for a Saturday lunch with friends. Not too expensive, good value for money and good choices of gluten free options. Although I booked for an afternoon gin tea experience the staff had no booking for me and my friend. Lots of apologies from staff. They worked together to still prepare a sandwich and dessert off main menu.
And we still got our lovely Hendricks gin in vintage teapot. We had a great time. Booked again for a real afternoon tea experience next week. Went here for a birthday meal and it was good value, especially with the Friday special of half-price Prosecco. The food was good, the service was friendly. We'll do this again! Nice friendly atmosphere. Good menu and spacious eating area. Brilliant food, bar staff and service was outstanding, lovely atmosphere and never too much of a problem for anyone to help you defiantly coming back!
Good food at a good price and fantastic location! Good choice of food available, staff attentive and friendly, all round a fab meal for my 30th birthday and the fab cocktails helped too! Disappointing service, very slow. Ruined the mood for my sisters birthday. The food was very nice, but the service was poor. We waited over an hour for starters that had been forgotten, the restaurant wasn't over busy and other people were complaining about the wait. Nice food and good service.
Just a shame only one more party of people in the whole restaurant. Didn't feel like there was much atmosphere. Awful food and slow service. Mine and my friends chicken skewers were uncooked, the chicken was still pink and stone cold! Sent back and had to wait 25 mins for a replacement, by this time the rest of the group had finished eating. Two of the meals we wanted to order were unavailable. The staff were miserable and rude and the service was very slow, we waited ages for drinks even though the restaurant was basically empty.
